Michael Pearse - consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon, LondonMichael Pearse has been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon for almost 20 years. He has extensive experience in general orthopaedics and he is a recognised specialist in orthopaedic trauma and hip replacement surgery. He also has an interest in upper limb conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger fingers and he treats many patients with foot and ankle disorders.

The surgery performed by Michael Pearse has been featured in a number of televised productions. In episode 3 of the BBC documentary series Fight for Life, shown in 2007, Mr Pearse undertook successful reconstruction of a young patient’s badly traumatised leg. His work was also the subject of a programme initially aired on Sky 1 and recently repeated on the Discovery Home & Health channel (Hospital Emergency).

Mr Pearse works as an NHS consultant at Imperial College Trust (Charing Cross Hospital), and North-West London Trust (Central Middlesex Hospital). NHS appointments to see Mr Pearse must be made by a General Practitioner.

Michael Pearse consults privately at Charing Cross Hospital and the BUPA Cromwell Hospital. Patients are also seen at 136 Harley Street.

Please remember to bring a referral letter, if you have one, as well as details of your current medication and any xrays or scans.

Medico-legal service

Mr Pearse also works with leading law firms to provide a medico-legal service for individuals who have suffered as a result of industrial or accidental injury.

Getting a Second Opinion

If you have suffered a fracture or leg damage which has failed to heal, or if you have had hip surgery which has not been successful, please email the xrays and any photographs, along with a short description, to office@pearse.org.uk and Mr Pearse will try to provide some insight into your condition and suggest a way forward.
